My research interests regard the physics of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), with a particular attention in understanding and exploring their outstanding role in the multi-messenger astrophysics. I study the spectral and temporal properties of these enigmatic events and I exploit theses information to investigate the prospects for joint detection of GRBs and gravitational waves with future instruments and space missions. I am currently working to optimize the observational strategy of the Swift telescope for the search of the electromagnetic (EM) counterpart of GW events in the next observing run of the LIGO/Virgo/KAGRA collaboration. My future projects are related to the support and development of the scientific case of future mission concepts, with the aim of strengthening the synergy between GW and EM observatories.
