Abstract: We live in a world of interactions. Everything you’ve ever experienced comes from something interacting with something else. No system is ever truly isolated. In an exactly solvable N-qubit network, we derive the dynamics of an ensemble of K-qubit open subsystems (K<N). We show that the change in system–environment entanglement governs the positivity of open dynamics. We explore how open dynamics positivity can serve as a probe of otherwise unobservable global structure.
