The workshop program is now available.
The Center for Theoretical and Observational Cosmology of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos at Penn State will host an informal neighborhood workshop on Astrophysics and Cosmology beginning Thursday, March 31 through noon or so on Friday, April 1, 2016.
We want to provide a way for faculty, students and postdocs to meet each other, exchange ideas and hear about the latest research. Talks will be short and informal with a strong preference for blackboard presentations and discussions. The specific topics are flexible since the aim of the meeting is to explore the most interesting and active areas of research. Everyone is welcome to speak, and we will give a prize for the best student presentation.
New for 2016, the Neighborhood Workshop will feature invited talks:
There is no registration fee. However, because of limited seating capacity, all participants must register by Friday, March 18, 2016.
We will attempt to schedule everyone who requests a talk slot; preference will be given to those who include a talk title at the time of registration. Talk slots fill up quickly so prompt registration is encouraged.
The workshop will be held in 114 McAllister Building on the Penn State University Park campus.
